IRSA Acknowledgement

If you use IRSA data or services in your research, please include the appropriate citations, facilities keywords, and acknowledgements in your paper:

1. Include "IRSA" as a facilities keyword if you are submitting to any AAS journal. Also include the facilities keywords corresponding to individual missions used. More information about facilities keywords can be found at http://journals.aas.org/authors/aastex/facility.html

Below is a AASTex example for a paper that uses many facilities:
\facility {IRSA, Spitzer, WISE, Herschel, Planck, SOFIA, IRTF, IRAS, MSX}

2. Include the following statement in the acknowledgments, in addition to any further acknowledgments required by individual missions and data providers.

"This research has made use of the NASA/IPAC Infrared Science Archive, which is funded by the National Aeronautics and Space Administration and operated by the California Institute of Technology."

3. In addition to the above, each data set has its own Digital Object Identifier (DOI) for the specific data set and nearly always has a canonical paper to cite. Please include both of those things in your paper. These can be found on the page corresponding to the data set, e.g., this for MIPSGAL. The service you used may also have its own DOI. A full list of DOIs curated by IPAC can be found here.
