Cool Stars 14 - Submitted Abstract # 387 This version created on 13 October 2006 Dynamical Searches for Planets Andreas Quirrenbach, Landessternwarte Heidelberg Planetary system dynamics and studies of the physical properties of planets are complementary aspects of extrasolar planet research. Radial velocities and astrometry provide masses and orbits, and thus the most fundamental parameters of extrasolar planets. Furthermore, orbital eccentricities and inclinations contain important information about the dynamical history of the system. These aspects will become more important as more multiple systems are discovered. The Space Interferometry Mission will push the astrometric detection limit into the realm of Earth-like planets. I will discuss how these developments will shape our overall understanding of habitability. ----------------------------------
