Download IRSA Released Catalogs

Download moderately-sized catalogs using the Table Access Protocol (TAP) API

Moderately sized IRSA catalogs may be downloaded via IRSA's Table Access Protocol (TAP) interface. Instructions and examples for using TAP may be found at: https://irsa.ipac.caltech.edu/docs/program_interface/TAP.html

For full table downloads, see the section marked with the "table" keyword in the QUERY documentation. We recommend using TAP's asynchronous service for full table queries.

There are no built-in limits to how many rows may be fetched in a single query, but there is a time limit for how long a job can run (3 days). For your convenience, we have included direct download links below for selected large tables, which may be too large to access via TAP.

Download large catalogs in ASCII or Parquet format

The catalogs listed below are available for download in compressed ASCII and/or Apache Parquet formats. The Parquet catalogs are available from both IRSA and AWS S3 buckets. (Note that the catalogs in S3 can also be queried in place; see Cloud Access.)
